The Giants named former Eagle assistant Mike Spagnuolo defensive coordinator, replacing the fired Tim Lewis.\u00c2\u00a0 Spagnuolo coached the LB\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the last two years, and before that was in charge of the Eagles\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 secondary.\u00c2\u00a0 I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve always liked the style of the Eagles\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 defense, very aggressive and blitz-oriented (note: I never agreed with their philosophy on building a defense, totally ignoring the LB position and loading up on DL\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s and DB\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s).\u00c2\u00a0 Is this a good move? Time will only tell. I just hope they are more imaginative on defense and become more of an attack defense.\u00c2\u00a0 Remember last pre-season how everyone was pumped about the defense throwing different \u00e2\u20ac\u0153schemes\u00e2\u20ac\u009d at opposing offenses, with all our talent up front?\u00c2\u00a0 It never happened, even before the injury bug hit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
